Most major phone carriers and MVNOs in the United States are more interested in acquiring new customers than resolving the issues of their current customers. They ignore the problems or issues of their current customers and some customers feel so very much neglected that they are fed up with horrific customer service and vent their frustration on social media platforms.

If you scroll through Social media, you will find it full of complaints against these phone carrier companies but posting problems or issues on social media may not help resolve issues except by venting frustration against the phone carrier company.
