What Mobile Phone Operator offers in Lockdown period: Check

Corona virus COVID-19 is the unprecedented disaster that has shaken the world and many countries are facing lockdown and citizens have confined to their home. The communication is the only way which is connecting them with their family and friends and keeping them up to date about COVID-19 news.

The staff of Indian Telecom Service Providers (TSP) are keeping their network operational in this crisis time and they deserve really a big applaud. These TSPs, as a good gesture, offered few plans in this lockdown period to their customers to keep them connected, to perform work from home duty and for entertainment.

BSNL and MTNL 

These state-owned telecom operators have extended the validity of their prepaid customers till April 10, 2020, along with Rs 10 additional talk time ever after zero balance. This offer will benefit to those customers, whose validity is due for expiry in this lockdown period.

BSNL is also offering Broadband service free of charge to new subscribers for one month, who have BSNL landline and do not have any broadband so that they can use this service either to work from home, educate from home or anything that can minimize the need to move outdoor. Under this plan, BSNL is offering 5GB data per day at 10Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 1Mbps. After one month of usage, all the Broadband subscribers have to opt for any one of the company’s paid plans.

Airtel

Airtel has also extended the validity of its prepaid customers till April 17, 2020, along with Rs 10 talk time.

Broadband customers of Airtel can avail of its broadband plans, starting from  Rs 799 that offers 150 GB data at 100 Mbps for a month. Another plan of Rs 999 offers 300 GB data at 200 Mbps speed, suitable for customers watching online TV/ entertainment.

Vodafone Idea

Vodafone Idea is also extending the validity of its prepaid customers until April 17, 2020, along with Rs 10 talk time.

Vodafone Idea has also announced three new double data plans for Rs 249, Rs 399 and Rs 599 for its customers wherein customers will get 3 GB per day for 28, 56 and 84 days respectively.

Jio

Jio has offered 100 minutes of voice calls and 100 SMS at no extra to its JioPhone prepaid customers until April 17.

Jio customers can also opt for its new Plan for Rs 251 which offers 2GB data per day only for 51 days. This plan is ideal for those who are working from home.
