Now with this Transfer key, you may transfer talk time from Rs 5 to Rs 50 by dialing the following number (other mobile operators facilitate this service by SMS)

Now suppose you as MTNL prepaid customer got the secret transfer key 3456 and want to transfer talk time worth Rs 50 to your friend whose mobile number is 9868012345, then you have to dial the following strings from your mobile.

Rs 50 +Rs 10 (processing fee) =Rs 60 will be deducted from your mobile number.
Yes, Rs 10 is the processing fee on a transfer of Rs 50 however, for transfers of up to Rs 15, MTNL will charge a flat Rs 3 per transaction.
