BSNL is in loss and is trying hard to increase revenue by hiking the tariffs of its product. In a major steps taken in this regard, BSNL have rationalized its tariffs of data plans/STVs and all the changes will be effective from 15th April-2013. The details are as follows.
- The most popular postpaid data plan “Best Value Plan” with FMC of Rs 700 which is offering free 6GB and additional data 1GB@Rs 100 is withdrawn.
- MRP of STV, which offers free 30GB data with a validity of 90 days, increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 3300
- MRP of STV, which offers free 10GB data with a validity of 30 days, increased from Rs 1099 to Rs 1299.
Following three new prepaid data plans applicable for 2G/3G users are introduced as promotional offers from 15-4-2013 for a period of 90 days. The plan DPV-1251 offers total free data of 9GB over a period of 12 months with a cap of 0.75GB monthly usage. Similarly DPV-2299 offers 15GB monthly usage and a total of 18 GB in full one year. The DPV-3299 offers total 30GB with a validity of one year and cap of 2.5GB data usage per month.
So now BSNL have two STVs which offers 30GB data for a price of Rs 3300 with validity of 90 days while with a Rs of 3299, a validity of 12 month but with a cap of 2.5GB per month.
Following special 3G data Combo plans of MRP of Rs 331, Rs 551, Rs 1103 and Rs 2206 applicable for both prepaid and postpaid withdrawn.
Following special data STVs of Rs 80, Rs 751 and Rs 1000 applicable for Tablet PC withdrawn
