India’s Broadband backbone, BSNL, announced an attractive offer for those landline customers who are still not having a broadband connection. BSNL is offering to them a discount of Rs 100 for the first 6 months (total Rs 600 in 6 months) if they opt for a Bharat Fibre Broadband plan as per their choice.
Earlier, BSNL brought an attractive offer of free Broadband connection for its landline customers who are bound to work from home. The details of the offer are given below.
Broadband with 5GB daily for Work from Home
Existing landline customers of BSNL, who are not having a broadband connection, can get a standalone Broadband plan for free of cost. With this broadband plan, customers will be able to use 5GB of data per day at 10Mbps download speed and thereafter unlimited data usage at a slower speed of 1Mbps. This plan will be free of cost for one month only and after that customers have to migrate to a regular plan as opted by them.
If the customer will not give any choice for migration of plan, it will automatically migrate to a 2GB data plan which has a Fixed Monthly Charge (FMC) Rs 349 if broadband is working on copper cable. The broadband plan working on FTTH will automatically migrate to the 100GB data plan, which has an FMC of Rs 499.
How to avail 5GB daily free data plan
Following procedure is to be followed to avail 5GB daily free data plan
- On your mobile phone, turn on WiFi and select default BSNL WiFi SSID
- You will be redirected to the captive BSNL portal
- Now select Landline on this captive portal page
- Enter your landline number with STD code and click on GET PIN
- The PIN will be received on your registered mobile number, enter the PIN on the captive portal page.
- After successful authentication, you will be allowed to use 5GB of data daily free.
- After exhausting 5GB of data, you will be directed to purchase the available data plan.
To avail of this free Broadband plan, you have to visit the nearest BSNL customer service center, and apply for this plan, keep the latest bill with you for ease.
