BSNL is now in the mood to encash the habit of more data usage of its prepaid customers that is why the PSU today announced an indirect hike in its some popular data STVs by reducing the validity of these STVs. The validity of STV17, STV39 and STV56 have been revised from 2, 6 and 30 days to 1,5 and 27 days respectively.
The free data allowance in data STV17 have been increased marginally from 90MB to 110 MB.
Along with these changes, BSNL has also announced launch of one new data STV for 150MB with a validity of 3 days for a price of Rs 29 but you may find price of this STV in the range of Rs 26 to Rs 33.
These revised tariff will be come in to effect from 1-12-2015 on PAN India basis.
Few days back , the ailing BSNL had surprisingly reported an operating profit of Rs 672 crore for the financial year 2015-16, as against operating loss of Rs 691 crore for last financial year 2014-15.
