BSNL Airfibre Plans and Service Review

Empowering villages with the digital mission is the motto of BSNL’s Bharat AirFibre services which bundles all three services voice calling, High-speed internet data usage, and TV channels for entertainment. BSNL offers a variety of Airfibre Plans as per the needs of individual customers in remote areas.

BSNL is connecting Gram Panchayats over optical fiber cables and from there, Airfibre connection may be provided by using wireless technology in association with Radio Broadband Service Providers (RBSP).

Radio Broadband Service Providers (RBSP)

The RBSPs are private partners and are responsible to install last-mile connectivity equipment like RF base stations and associated equipment including CPE at customer premises and operate this entire service on an unlicensed radio spectrum.

With this arrangement, customers of remote rural areas, up to 5 km from the Gram Panchayat, may also be benefited from the latest technology and get connected with the world. Bharat AirFibre service is completely wireless and offers broadband up to 100Mbps up to a distance of 5 Km from the RF base station.

The Bharat Airfibre service is also a good business opportunity and RBSP can get up to 40% revenue share as commission from BSNL.

The customer in the village can opt for any FTTH plan starting from Rs 499 plan and above the tariff plan on Bharat Airfibre. Customers can avail themselves of Internet services and TV channels but for voice calls, they have to use the BSNL Wings app, which is free of cost for Bharat Airfibre customers.

Exclusive Airfibre plans as listed below

• Rs 499 for unlimited data out of which 3300GB data at download speed up to 30Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 699 for unlimited data out of which 3300GB data at download speed up to 40Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 4Mbps
• Rs 899 for unlimited data out of which 3300GB data at download speed up to 50Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 6Mbps
• Rs 1199 for unlimited data out of which 3300GB data at download speed up to 70Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 10Mbps

Customers can also opt annual payment option for the above exclusive Airfibre Plans. These plans come with unlimited calling across the country on any network.

Below two Airfibre plans are offered as a promotional offer in Assam Telecom Circle

• Rs 399 for unlimited data out of which 150GB data at download speed up to 10Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 2Mbps for the first six months after which plan will be converted to 200GB data plan
• Rs 449 for unlimited data out of which 200GB data at download speed up to 10Mbps and thereafter unlimited data at 2Mbps.

Two more Airfibre Plans, Ultra and Ultra Plus Plans are also available across the country.

There are other 17 Broadband plans, as listed below, that were offered to Airfibre customers, but have now been discontinued and will not be offered to new customers.

• Rs 499 for 3GB/day at 8Mbps and unlimited data at 1Mbps
• Rs 599 for 4GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 699 for 5GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 749 for 300GB/mo at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 899 for 12GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 949 for 500GB/mo at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 1299 for 22GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 1599 for 25GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 4Mbps
• Rs 1849 for 30GB/day at 10Mbps and unlimited data at 4Mbps
• Rs 849 for 600GB/mo at 50Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps
• Rs 1277 for 750GB/mo at 100Mbps and unlimited data at 2Mbps

Bharat Airfibre services were launched initially in Telangana, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Maharastra Telecom Circles but now it is being provided in all telecom circles on a PAN India basis through RBSP.
