India’s national backbone, state-run, pan-India mobile service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of a new tariff plan –New General Prepaid Plan 103 under prepaid mobile services and it will be available across the country starting February 25, 2014.
The New General Prepaid Plan 103 could be activated by purchasing a New SIM for a price of Rs 20/ Rs 59/ Rs 200, as per the capacity of the SIM, with a new plan voucher of Rs 103. The new General Plan will come with the offering of a free bundled top-up of Rs 103 so virtually making the new prepaid connection free of cost to the customer.

As you can see in the above exclusive screenshot of the tariff of the New General Prepaid Plan 103, all the freebies offered in the existing General plan are not being offered except bundled free top-up of Rs 103.
The existing General Plan comes with a plan voucher of Rs 175 and also offers several freebies like 75 free on-net calls plus 75 free off-net calls, 55MB of free data usage, and 25 local SMS on any network.
The call rates in both the existing as well as new General Plans are
- Local/STD calls on Mobile and Fixed on On-net @60p/min
- Local/STD calls on Mobile Off-net @70p/min
- Local/STD calls on Fixed Off-net @90p/min
- Local SMS on On-net @60p/SMS
- Local SMS Off-net @70/SMS
- National SMS on On-net@70p/SMS
- National SMS Off-net @80p/SMS
