Country’s, state-owned PSU BSNL has brought another promotional offer to increase broadband customers by offering ADSL modem for a meager amount of rental of Rs 29/month. The customers will get a recovered ADSL modem and they will pay rental charges @Rs.29/- p.m. till the closure of the Broadband connection. This offer promotional offer is available for a period of 90 days.
Earlier, a long ago, BSNL brought a similar scheme for providing ADSL modem free of cost which otherwise normally costs Rs 1500 if you buy it from BSNL or if you get it on rent then you have to pay Rs 110 as rent per month.
BSNL offered ADSL WiFi modem free of cost to customers subscribing to a broadband connection under an annual or higher payment option having a fixed monthly charge (FMC) of Rs 1000 or above.
The customer who would subscribe broadband connection under annual or higher payment option having FMC above Rs 600 and below Rs 1000 are eligible to get the ADSL WiFi modem at a reduced price of Rs 500 i.e. at a discount of 66%.
BSNL has hardly two or three broadband plans which have FMC below Rs 600 hence with this promotional offer, almost all the customers will be eligible to get the ADSL WiFi modem at either a reduced price of Rs 500 or free of cost.
If a customer surrenders a broadband connection before the expiry of the committed period, BSNL will charge Rs 1500 for the ADSL WiFi modem from a customer who has taken it free of cost. For those who have taken it at a reduced price of Rs 500, BSNL will charge the balance amount of Rs 1000 from the customer for the ADSL WiFi modem.
