The T-Mobile United States has more than 20 Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) who offer mobile services by using the T-Mobile network. They sell their own brand names by designing their own phone plans so buying SIM from these MVNO means availing all features of T-Mobile’s network.
Most MVNOs sell prepaid plans (pay-as-you-go) and are generally cheaper as compared to their major operator so to shed costlier plans and switching to MVNO would be a good deal for using the same network at affordable prices.
Let us find out which is the best MVNO running on T-Mobile Network and offering a suitable plan for you.
Metro by T-Mobile
Metro by T-Mobile, (formerly known as MetroPCS ) is the Prepaid brand operated by T-Mobile and it offers the almost same plans that are being offered by T-Mobile.
Metro by T-Mobile has four prepaid plans, the smallest plan costs $30 per month for one line and it offers 2GB of high-speed data plus unlimited talk and text. The next higher plan offers 10GB of high-speed data but it is slightly costlier $40 per month.
There are two unlimited plans at a cost of $50 and $60 per month but what is the difference between them?. The unlimited plan for $50 allows 5GB of mobile hotspot data while an unlimited plan for $60 allows 15GB of mobile hotspot data plus a free subscription to the Amazon Prime streaming platform. Both unlimited plans allow Google One cloud storage of 100GB. Customers that use more than 35GB of data during a billing cycle, may experience reduced data speeds compared to T-Mobile postpaid customers.
Currently Metro by T-Mobile is running a new promotion offering, an unlimited plan (regular price $50/mo) for a special price of $5/mo for the first month and after the first month, customers must pay the plan’s regular price ($50/mo). This offer is only available for new customers who will bring their own device and that device must never have been activated on Metro before.
As a promotion, Metro is offering 4 unlimited lines for $100 (instead of $140) if you port-in to Metro-by-T-Mobile. The unlimited plan allows you to use 35GB of high-speed data in a billing cycle, after which data speeds temporarily slowed during times of network congestion.
If you switch with your one line to Metro-by-T-Mobile, you can get unlimited plan for just $40/mo only without mobile Hotspot, Google One or Amazon Prime
Metro by T-Mobile also offers discounts on each additional line, up to 5 lines. If you add an additional line to Plan $40, you can save $10 per line and if you add an additional line to the $50 plan then you can save $20 per line. If you add three lines to the $60 plan, you can get the fourth line free of cost. In a new Metro store, you can get two lines of the $50 unlimited plan for $70 with autopay. If you can bring your own device (BYOD), then you can get an unlimited plan for $40/mo only.
Metro by T-Mobile uses the T-Mobile network so you need not worry about coverage because it covers almost the entire United States. Customers with 5G enabled devices can also access T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G coverage.

Google Fi
Google Fi has two types of phone plans, Flexible and Unlimited, but its prices are slightly higher as compared to other MVNOs.
Google Fi’s Flexible plan starts at $20 per month for one line and offers unlimited talk and text. For data to use, you have to pay $10 per 1GB until 6GB, freezing the bill at $80 per month. If you consume more than 6GB of data, it is free. Maximum six lines may be added and accordingly, the total bill comes down to $35, $50, $65, $80, and $95 excluding data charges for 2 to 6 lines.
Google Fi has introduced one more Simply unlimited plan and renamed its existing unlimited plan as the Unlimited plus plan. The Simply Unlimited plan is priced at $60/mo for one line while the unlimited plus plan costs $70/mo for one line. Both plans allow 22GB of high-speed data.
The difference between two unlimited plan is that Simply unlimited plan don’t offer 100GB cloud storage and free international data while roaming outside USA, Canada, and Mexico while unlimited plus plan offers all these features free of cost.
Earlier Google Fi brought a promotional offer to add more customers and offered 50% off on its unlimited plus plan. Customers who availed of that offer got an unlimited plus plan for just $35 only and three lines cost them $25/month per line only. A maximum of six lines may be added to any plan.
Simple Mobile
Simple Mobile has a somewhat costlier plan as compared to other MVNOs. Its 3GB, 5GB ad 15GB data plans costs $25, $30 and $40 per month respectively. Two truly unlimited data plan costs $50 and $60, first one offers 5GB hotspot data while later one allows 15GB hotspot and 50GB cloud storage.
If you switch to Simple mobile, it is offering 4 lines of the unlimited plan ($50 for one line) for just $100 per month and this offer is available at Total Wireless stores until August 10, 2020. The fine print of the offer says that all lines must be from the same location and at the same time. If one line leaves, the total bill will still be $100 for the remaining 3 lines. One more line, the fifth line, can also be added for an additional charge of $25/month.
You may choose any MVNOs but ensure the availability of a network in the area where you live and work.
