India’s one of the major telecom 
service provider, Vodafone India, bring out new National Roaming packs for its all prepaid as well as postpaid customers across the country.
National Roaming packs for prepaid customers are priced from Rs 31 to Rs 48 according to telecom circle and validity of packs are 7 days. Monthly roaming packs are prices from Rs 71 to Rs 82 as per telecom circle.
These roaming packs offers free incoming calls and all outgoing calls at 1.5p/sec for local as well as STD in roaming area. The normal rates in roaming are Rs 1/min for local calls and Rs 1.5/min for STD calls hence prepaid customer can save up to 40% on outgoing calls in roaming area.
Vodafone has introduced free roaming pack of Rs 75 for all postpaid customers across all telecom circles and offers free incoming calls only. For outgoing calls, standard rates will be applicable i.e. Rs1/min for local calls and Rs 1.5/min for STD calls
BSNL, Tata DoCoMo and MTNL also have free national roaming packs with one week validity.
