Chinese phone maker, Xiaomi has come up with another affordable 4G device, it has unveiled its new flagship, successor of its original Redmi Smartphone, the Redmi 2.
The new Smartphone Redmi 2 has most of features as its original model Redmi has like, the display of 4.7-inch with resolution of 1280 x 720 display. The new Redmi 2 is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm 410, 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can further be expanded up to 32GB with microSD.
The Redmi 2 sports 8MP rear camera which has a 28mm wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and can shoot 1080p video. Front side is fitted with 2MP camera. It runs on Xiaomi’s own MIUI 6 version of Android operating system and provides a few more options to its color-loving customers like, “lime green” and “powder yellow.”
The new device has two 4G SIM slots and supports both TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE network. The Redmi 2 has other connectivity options of Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS + GLONASS + Beidou positioning. It is powered by 2,200mAh Li-Po battery.
It is priced at 699 CNY (around $110 or Rs 7000) and will be available in stores, in China, starting January 9, 2015. Buyers will have option to choose from five colors, Dark Gray, White, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink.
The Redmi 2 is compatible with Indian 4G networks so whenever it will be launched in India, Indian customers will have option to buy it at even more affordable price.

USSD Code for SIM 2 does not load beyond 1st menu. However when I swap the card over to SIM 1 slot, the USSD code works without any problems
Steps to reproduce
1) Insert SIM card into SIM 2 slot
2) Use a valid USSD Code on SIM 2
3) 1st menu loads with no issues
4) Key in the next valid USSD Code
5) 2nd menu will not load, screenshot as attached
PS: SIM 1 need or need not be slotted with another SIM
