US Mobile has been making waves in the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) space, and their latest feature drop proves they’re not slowing down anytime soon. From smartwatch connectivity to multi-network support, international roaming updates, and major discounts on flagship phones, there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s dive in!
Google Pixel Watch Connectivity is Here!
US Mobile has officially rolled out support for Google Pixel Watch connectivity in companion mode on its Warp 5G network (powered by Verizon). The best part? If you’re on the Unlimited Premium plan ($44/month or $32.50/month if paid annually), the feature is completely free. For everyone else, it’s available as a $9.50/month or $78/year add-on.
Currently, this feature supports the Google Pixel Watch 2 and newer models, adding to US Mobile’s existing Apple Watch support. This makes US Mobile one of the only prepaid carriers offering smartwatch connectivity for both Apple and Google devices. A big win for tech-savvy customers!
Multi-Network Feature Rolls Out
A few weeks ago, US Mobile introduced its much-anticipated multi-network feature, allowing Unlimited Premium plan users to add a second line on a different network. Right now, it’s free, but CEO Ahmed Khattak has hinted that pricing will land under $15/month when it’s fully rolled out in the coming weeks. This could be a game-changer for users who want better coverage and reliability by tapping into multiple networks.
More Exciting Features Coming Soon
US Mobile has even more in store for the coming months. Here’s what’s on the horizon:
1. International Roaming Gets a Major Upgrade (April 2025)
- New international data rates as low as $2/GB.
- Customers on Pooled and Unlimited Starter plans can buy an international eSIM add-on.
- The eSIM will provide a U.S. phone number for calling and texting via the Dark Star (AT&T) network.
2. Global Data Coverage for Pooled Plans (Mid-April 2025)
- International data access in over 50 countries.
3. Google Pixel 9 Promotion (April 2025)
- A massive $400 discount on the Google Pixel 9.
- This puts US Mobile in direct competition with Mint Mobile, which has a similar deal.
4. Messaging Enhancements for iPhones on Dark Star (April 2025)
- Support for RCS, Visual Voicemail, and improved group messaging.
- Originally scheduled for March, now pushed to April.
5. Unlimited Starter Plan Improvements (TBA)
- Expected “performance boost,” possibly adding QCI-8 premium priority data.
- If true, this could make Unlimited Starter an even better deal.
US Mobile’s Growth & What’s Next
US Mobile is on a serious growth trajectory. Back in August 2024, the company hit a $100 million annual revenue run rate, and they’re aiming to double that by the end of 2025. With nearly 500,000 subscribers as of mid-2024, they’re cementing their place as one of the most competitive MVNOs in the U.S.
Final Thoughts
US Mobile continues to impress with innovative features and aggressive pricing. Their ability to offer both Apple Watch and Google Pixel Watch support, multi-network capabilities, and competitive international roaming rates sets them apart from other prepaid providers.
However, there’s always a question of whether they can deliver these features on schedule. US Mobile has a history of announcing ambitious updates, only to delay or tweak them later. If they stick to the plan, though, 2025 could be a breakout year for them.
