Tesco UK started to offer 4G LTE plans: Compare with O2 and Three

Ahead of launch of 4G servicesuk_4geevoda by thre three network in December-2013, a MVNO of O2 mobile, Tesco mobile started to offer 4G services at cheaper rate than it primary network O2.

Tesco has offered 4G services by just paying an extra £2.50 per month on top of standard 3G tariff plans.

Tesco has offered flexibility in 4G plans, consumers can add or remove their 4G service at anytime and they are also permitted to increase or decrease data allowance at anytime from 500MB to 8GB a month.

Let us see the scenario of 4G tariff plan at the time of launch of 4G LTE services by three network.

Tesco have 3G plans of £10 per month for SIM only which offer 1GB of data along with 500 min talk and 500 text messages under 12 month contract plan hence customer opting 4G service, have to pay £12.50 for this plan. Another MVNO of O2 is giffgaff which has 3G tariff plan of £10 which offer 1GB of data usage, 500 min talk and unlimited text messages.

O2 has 4G plan of £26 per month which offer 1GB of data with unlimited talk and text under the 24 month contract plans.

The three network  has 3G plans of £9.90 and this plan offers you 1GB of data usage with 600 min talk and 5000 text messages. The customers who will go for 4G services of the three network in December-2013 when it is expected to be launched, as per promise of the three network, consumers will get 4G services with no extra charges as compared with its existing 3G tariffs. The unlimited data plan of the three network starts from £15 and this also include 100 min talk and 5000 text messages.

With the above details, even Tesco has offered 4G services at cheaper rates but in coming days consumers will get 4G services at more competitive rates from all other carriers in UK by December-2013 and by that time the three network could emerge the winner of this competitive 4G market.
