Tata DoCoMo has introduced four new Family postpaid plans starting monthly rental Rs 849 to Rs 1449. The Family plans allows minimum one connection in each plan and maximum connections ranges from 3 in family plan of Rs 849 to 6 connections in family plan of Rs 1449.
The unique feature of these ‘Family Plans’ is that all family members enjoys unlimited voice calling among them as CUG and they also can share pooled freebies in the form of voice calls, SMS and 2G data as tabulated below.
The big benefit of these Family plans is that family will receive a consolidated single bill for all the connections within the group.
Customers are also allowed to upgrade their family plan as the number of connections increases without any additional service charges.
If we analyses these plan on individual basis, then each connection in family plan 1449 enjoys 700 free minutes of voice calls, 167 free SMS and 330 MB data usage for rental of Rs 242.
But the main drawback of these family plan is 2G data usage, once a customers tested the speed of 3G data usage, how can they be satisfied with 2G data usage whether it may come free ?
