The trend of reducing data rate started by Vodafone and Tata DoCoMo is the fourth mobile operator, after Airtel and Idea, which has announced today that company will offer 90% discount on its some prepaid data packs effective from 1-July-2013 . As per company statement this move is to increase data penetration across segment.
The Tata DoCoMo will offer this 90% cut on the charges levied on post free usage of data on the following three 2G data packs of Rs 126, Rs 149 and Rs 249 and one 3G data pack of Rs 255.
Earlier it was charging 10p/10KB but now the mobile operator will charge 1p/10KB from 1-July-2013. There will be no other change in these packs, all these packs will be priced as are priced now and its validity will also not going to change.
Now Indian customers have almost same data charges from all leading mobile operators of India.
