T-Mobile unveiled Uncarrier 5.0 (free network test) and Uncarrier 6.0 (Music freedom)

So the rumor of rates inclusive all taxes for postpaid customer was wrong. Finally T-Mobile come out with details of it much hyped Uncarrier 5.0 and Mr Legere also announced one more pre-unannounced Uncarrier 6.0. T-Mobile also announced its expansion plan for LTE and VoLTE.

Un-carrier 5.0 : “Test the T-Mobile network before subscribing to it”,  This may be the motto about its latest uncarrier move “Test Drive”. Consumers are allowed to test apples’s latest smartphone iPhone 5S on T-Mobile’s LTE network for a full week just free of cost.

To avail this opportunity, consumers will receive iPhone 5S with unlimited domestic service after sign up for Test Drive online starting June 23, 2014. At the time of sign up, the carrier will hold full price of device $699.99 on your credit card.

They can test T-Mobile network by using this device for 7 days and after that if they decide to return it, they can do so without paying anything but if you return the device with a cracked screen, water damage or some other issue, the carrier will charge $100. If consumer will not return it back after “Test Drive” period, T-Mobile will en-cash $699.99 “on hold” credit card.

T-Mobile also announced that the carrier has launched its Wideband LTE, LTE-A network in 16 markets, namely Atlanta, Birmingham, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Mobile, Orlando, Portland, Seattle, Tampa and Upstate where users can now access services with peak download speeds up to 150Mbps. Those markets are:

T-Mobile has also rolled its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service in 15 markets where more than than 100 million can use it, those markets are: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Long Island, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C.

Un-carrier 6.0 : T-Mobile announced that all Simple Choice subscribers can now enjoy free unlimited music from most popular music services such Pandora, iHeartRadio, iTunes Radio, Rhapsody, Slacker, Spotify, Samsung Milk Music and the upcoming Beatport without consuming data from their data plan.

T-Mobile has also unveiled a new music streaming service in partnership with Rhapsody dubbed “unRadio”, free for Simple choice customers and for other customer, for a charge of $4 a month. Customer will be able to enjoy 20 millions track music library as well as radio stations without eating up your data allowance. The “unRadio” service will be available starting June 23, 2014.
