Samsung has finally unveiled its most awaited dual-mode 4G Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini on the Optus network in Australia.
Both smartphones support TD-LTE and FD-LTE network of Optus, Optus is the first mobile operator in Australia which has rolled out TD-LTE network in selected parts of Canberra but it will be expanded to other more metropolitan centers by the end of this year.
Dual Mode Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini are having the almost same specifications as its single mode supported smartphones along-with additional feature of TD-LTE support.
Key specifications of dual mode Samsung Galaxy S4 mini are listed below.
Display: 4.3 inch qHD screen with resolution of 540 x 960 pixel.
Operating System: Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2 with TouchWiz Nature UI 2.0
Processor: 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 graphics processing unit (GPU)
RAM: 1.5GB
Internal Memory: 8GB and expandable up to 64GB with micro SD card.
Rear Camera: 8Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, auto focus, face detection, high dynamic range (HDR), panorama, voice activation, and able to record 1080p HD video at 30 fps.

Price: dual-mode Galaxy S4 is priced $744 (outright) while Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is prices $576 (outright) and both will be available from next month September through Optus Operator.
Optus has started pre-booking of these smartphones and will deliver starting from 28 August. Optus is offering these dual mode Galaxy smartphone with attractive phone plans starting from $55 per month with 24 months contract but the most suitable plan is $60 per month which offers 600 minutes voice calls, 1GB of 4G data usage and unlimited SMS/MMS.

These dual mode Galaxy S4 and S4 mini supports 2.3GHz spectrum band of TD-LTE technology which is also used in Indian 4G TD-LTE networks so these phones will also be usable in India but its formal launch and price will be announced later.
