Philippine’s Long Distance Telephone Co (PLDT) is all set to launch wireless services in North America at five places Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, San Diego, and Las Vegas on June 12, 2014, the Philippine Independence day. PLDT is entering US cellular market to serve more than 3.5 million Filipinos living and working in US.
The wireless services will be launched as MVNO of T-Mobile, USA so the customers at these five places could be able to enjoy fast data services of T-Mobile’s network at affordable rates.
PLDT is already operating in seven countries as MVNO in Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Guam, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Kingdom and offering wireless services there at affordable rates.
Recently Univision Mobile became MVNO of T-Mobile and is now offering wireless services for Hispanic Americans at $30, $45 and $55. Wireless plan $30 offers unlimited talk and text while $45 plan offers unlimited talk, text plus2.5GB data usage at 3G speed. The $55 per month plan offers unlimited talk, text and 2.5GB at super high speed of HSPA+ before throttling to 2G speed.
