As on expected line, Idea has also 
reduced bundled data usage in its 2G Data packs, after Airtel and Vodafone. Idea hits its most popular 2G data packs, its 1GB data pack which is priced around Rs 125 in most of the circles.
Idea have done two things, it has reduced bundled free data usage in the data pack which is priced around Rs 125 for prepaid, now prepaid customers will get either 525MB or 625MB bundled free data usage only and second thing is that it has also offered new 1GB data pack in the price range of Rs 151 to Rs 155 in different telecom circles.
The new 2G data packs in following circles are priced as below
Interestingly, Idea offers 1GB data pack in Rs 125 in Mumbai but it offers this 1GB data pack for 151 in rest of Maharashtra & Goa circle. Similarly prepaid customers of west part of Uttar Pradesh will pay Rs 155 for 1GB data pack while customers of Eastern Uttar Pradesh will get it at cheaper price of Rs 125 only.
If we compare it with Government run PSU BSNL, we find that BSNL doesn’t differentiate in 2G and 3G data packs and offers uniformly to all customers across India at same rates. Currently BSNL offer to its prepaid customers 2G/3G data pack of 1GB for Rs 139 only with 10% extra data as promotional offer.
