Five latest Tablets unveiled at CES-2014

CES 2014 has officially ended and now it’s time to find some best tablets by going through all the tablets unveiled in the trade fair at Las Vegas. During these 4 days of thrill and excitement for us, every tech giant brought their best so let us round up especially for tablets showcased in CES-2014.

1. Asus PadFone mini and PadFone X

This device will fullfill your need of both smartphone and tablet unveiled by Taiwanese firm ASUS. This is PadFone mini, has 4 inch detachable smartphone with resolution of 800×480 pixels, which can be docked into a 7 inch tablet dock. The tablet dock itself has battery bank which also charges smartphone when docked.

PadFone is powered by dual core Intel Atom Z2560 clocked at 1.6. GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.3 which can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat. Other specs include 8 MP rear camera, 2MP front facing camera, 8 GB internal memory expandle up to 64 GB via microSD card.

PadFone X is big brother of PadFone mini, Smartphone has 5 inch display and can be docked into 9 inch tablet dock. This device is also runs on Android 4.0 KitKat and support LTE-Advance technology that is why it is landing at AT&T, US in January, 2014 but device has rear facing camera of 5MP only, lacks front facing camera.

2. Micromax Canvas LapTab

Indian mobile and tablet maker Micromax also used CES as a platform to unveil its new dual boot functionality 10.1 inch tablet cum laptop hybrid Canvas LapTab running on Android Jelly Bean v4.2 and Windows 8.1. The tablet has decent resolutions 1280×800 pixels and sports a dual-core 1.46GHz Intel Celeron processor, other specs are 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage scalable up to 64 GB, front facing camera of 2MP, powered by big 7400mAh battery.

3. Xolo Win Tablet

Another Indian techie Lava’s Xolo also dubbed at CES 2014 with its first endeavor Windows-based tablet, 10.1 inch Xolo Win tablet. It is built around dual core AMD A4 Elite Mobility processor clocked at 1.0 GHz coupled with Radeon HD 8180 GPU for graphics and 2GB RAM.

4. Acer Iconia A1-830 and Inconia B1-720 tablets

Ahead of CES, Acer unveild two new tablets one is Iconia A1-830 and another one is Iconia B1-720 . Both runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.1 and has 7.9-inch and 7-inch IPS screens respectively. The Iconia B1-720 is powered by Atom Z2560 Clover Trail processor coupled with 1GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage and is costs €169 ($129.99) (roughly Rs. 8,000) and will hit North America later in January 2014.

The Acer Iconia B1-720 tablet is powered by a1.3GHz dual-core Media Tek processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The tablet has two variants, one is Wi-Fi with 16 GB internal storage and it will be available from mid of January for €129 while its another version 3G and 16 GB internal storage is priced at €179.

5. Alcatel One Touch Pop 7 and One Touch8

Alcatel expanded its One Touch Pop series of devices by launching two new budget tablets One Touch Pop 7 and Pop 8 tablets. Both tablets runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2. The Pop 7 tablet features a 7-inch TFT WSVGA display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core MediaTek MT8312 processor with Mali 400 GPU, a 2-MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The Pop 8 tablet features an 8-inch IPS 1280 x 800 display, a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
