Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is providing Fiber To The Home (FTTH) Broadband services in partnership with MSO and LCO under the brand name of BSNL Triple Play Service, which is nothing but a parcel of three services Cable TV, Broadband, and Telephone on the fiber cable.
As of now, more than 1100 Multi-Service Operators (MSOs) and nearly 100,000 Local Cable Operators (LCOs) are actively operating and providing Cable TV services on their fiber cable network to millions of customers throughout the country.
There are a few popular names of MSOs like Siti Networks, DEN Networks, Hathway Digital, GTPL Hathway, and Radiant. LSOs are in large numbers about which, local people know more, actually your Cable TV service provider is LSO.
BSNL Triple Play Service Network
Looking at the great opportunity, BSNL tapped the vast fiber cable network of MSO-LCO and planned to offer FTTH broadband services to customers of MSO/LCO. This was a great chance for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to grab new subscribers and penetrate Fiber To The Home (FTTH) Broadband services. BSNL is now offering Triple Play Service in partnership with MSO and LCO leveraging its fiber cable network. BSNL Triple Play Service is nothing but a parcel of three services Cable TV, Broadband, and Telephone on fiber cable.
After the success of DTH services by TataSky, DishTV, Videocon, etc for CableTV and other value-added services, many customers of MSO/LCO shifted from their cable TV network to DTH services. Resulting in their fiber cable network being unutilized and they were also facing a financial crisis. They saw an opportunity in partnering with BSNL, the big brand name of Broadband, to earn money by utilizing their unused fiber cable network so this association of MSO/LCO with BSNL was a win-win partnership for both.
If you are not using the DTH services of TataKya, DishTV, Videocon, etc, then you definitely, are availing Cable TV services from the old system of your local cable TV operators. Ask your LCO, he might be providing BSNL FTTH Broadband plans in the BSNL Triple play service on the fiber cable.
