BSNL has hiked fixed monthly (FMC) charges of a few of its BSNL landline plans. This is part of increasing tariffs to increase the revenue of BSNL in this cost-intensive copper-based cable landline network. BSNL has increased FMC by Rs 4 to Rs 30 depending on the phone plan. Even the charges of the virtual landline plan ASEEM plan have been increased.
ASEEM Plan features
- The validity of the ASEEM Plan has been reduced from 6 months to 4 months.
- The tariff for call diversion from ASEEM to BSNL number is revised from Rs 99 to Rs 199.
- The tariff for call diversion from ASEEM to other than BSNL number is kept unchanged at Rs 199.
- The annual tariff has been introduced for ASEEM call diversion to any number for Rs 599.
Monthly Charges for BSNL Landline Plans
The following are the details of landline phone plans of which FMC has gone up with effect from 1 August 2020.
Further BSNL says that existing customers, who are already either under the Annual/two-year/three-year payment option before the revision in tariff, will not be charged the revised tariff till the expiry of their current Annual/two-year/three-year subscription.
Further, existing customers, who have recently opted above plans under the monthly payment option before the revision in tariff, will not be charged the revised tariff till the expiry of Six months subscription period from the date of activation of their Landline connection.
BSNL to hike FMC of Landline and also offer unlimited free calling 24 Hrs
BSNL offered an unlimited free calling facility on any network from 9 PM to 7 AM without paying any extra payment, due to this attractive facility BSNL has seen some growth in addition to Landline connections, and people have become habitual to enjoying this free calling facility.
Now the BSNL has announced to hike fixed monthly charges (FMC) of its landline connections by Rs 10 to Rs 25 per month on a PAN India basis as detailed below. For this enhanced FMC, BSNL has given relief by offering the same number of free calls in the most popular plans.
BSNL subscribers of select SSA like Jaipur SSA in Rajasthan Circle, Faridabad and Gurgaon SSA of Haryana Circle, and Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior SSA of Madhya Pradesh Circle, having broadband combo plan of FMC Rs 700 and above, has given more options for making free calling facility for 24 hours instead of 9 PM to 7 AM. For this, these subscribers have to add newly launched two types of Add-ons as detailed below
- Add-On voice pack of Rs 48 per month for making 24-hour unlimited local calls to any network in India
- Add-On voice pack of Rs 98 per month for making 24 hours unlimited local+STD calls to any network in India
Now BSNL has decided to offer these Add-Ons to subscribers of Hyderabad SSA of Andhra Pradesh circle.
