BSNL today revamped its Pyari Jodi plan tariffs to be effective from August 25, 2014 in all telecom circles across the country for existing as well as new customers.
For those who are not familiar with BSNL’s Pyari Jodi plan, I just briefly explain it. BSNL offers a Prepaid GSM SIM alongwith its Landline connection and over the period of time, BSNL has provided at least one Prepaid SIM against one landline connection free of cost but now BSNL is charging Rs 75 and plan comes with 2000 sec on-net and 2000 sec off-net free calls.
This prepaid GSM SIM is configured as Pyari Jodi with special feature. Customers owning Pyari Jodi SIM are allowed to make 30 minutes free local call per day to the landline number against which it has been provided.
Beyond these 30 minutes free local calls per day, calls are being charged at the normal call charges. The Pyari Jodi SIM has 90 days validity.
Now BSNL has altered tariffs of this Pyari Jodi plan and as per changes, BSNL will now allow only 20 minutes free calls per day in place of existing 30 minutes per day. The point of joy is that BSNL has increased validity of Pyari Jodi from 90 days to 180 days.
So after August 25, 2014, if you observe that your “free calls” are being charged, then don’t get surprised. It might be possible that BSNL may not intimate you about these changes.
