BSNL is now introducing two new volume based SMS pack for its all 2G and 3G 
subscribers with effect from 10 January-2013. Just few days back, BSNL introduced five new SMS Packs after scrapping all its previous SMS packs.
These new volume based SMS pack are designed as per TRAI restriction of 100 SMS free per day. These two volume based SMS packs are prices at Rs 32 and Rs 53 with validity of 15 days and 30 days respectively. The other feature of these SMS packs is that all SMS sent on other mobile operators network will be charges 12p/SMS.
The details of these new volume based SMS packs are as follows.

Note: It must be noted that these SMS tariff is applicable up to 100 SMS per day per SIM only and All SMS beyond 100 SMS per day per SIM will be charged @ 50p/SMS or SMS charges as per base tariff plan whichever is higher.
Suppose as per SMS pack of Rs 32, you send 100 SMS free on BSNL network so beyond this free limit of 100 SMS, if you send 20 SMS on other mobile network, you will be charged 50p/SMS although as per SMS pack your SMS be charged at 12p/SMS.
Hence to avail the tariff as per SMS pack you have to restrict your free SMS on BSNL network below 100, say 70 and rest 30 SMS on other mobile network will be charges at 12p/SMS.
