Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced major changes to be effective mostly from 1-12-2014. It has hiked tariffs of some broadband plans popular in rural as well as urban areas.
BSNL is hiking FMC of its two rural plans BBG Rural combo 250 and BB Home Rural combo UL 550 by Rs 100 so new FMC of these two plans will be Rs 350 and Rs 650 respectively.
The FMC of BBG 275 is hiked by Rs 100 so now customers have to pay new FMC of Rs 375 starting 1-12-2014.
FMC of BBG Combo 299, BBG Home Combo ULD 800 and BBG Home Combo ULD 900 are going to be increased marginally by Rs 45 only while FMC of BBG Home Combo ULD 1425 is going to increase by Rs 70.

BSNL have further clarified that in some SSAs/circles, the revised FMC have already been implemented and BBG Combo 299 is not available for new customers so the revised FMC will be applicable to existing customers only.
Revised FMC for BBG 275, BBG Home Combo ULD 800 and BBG Home Combo ULD 900 will be applicable in Tamilnadu from 1-4-2015.
