Let the rivalry continues,
The device access fee for customers under two year contract is $40 while for customers who are covered under Next program or prepaid (BYOD), the access fee is at discounted rate of $25. It is also clarified by AT&T that existing on-contract customers who are paying $40 as access fee for one smartphone, may also take advantage of discounted access rate of $25 but they have to switch to Next Program or buy a new phone at full retail price.
New rates are $15 lower than its current price.
AT&T is also discontinuing its existing 1GB data plan which is currently priced at $45 because 2GB data plan is now $40 hence there is no sense to keep this 1GB data plan under the basket of Mobile Share Value Plan.
