India’s largest private mobile operator, Airtel has tied up with Chinese handset maker Xiaomi to make available 4G Smartphone Redmi Note at their 133 retail shops across the country at price of Rs 9,999.
The mobile operetaor is offering Redmi Note to those buyers who will opt for its postpaid myPlan. Existing prepaid or non-Airtel customer has to switch to Airtel’s myPlan postpaid plans at the time of buying Redmi Note 4G Smartphone.
Buyers of Redmi Note will get a 4G SIM from Airtel and they can enjoy 4G speed at the 3G tariffs. Customers in non-4G services places can also buy this Redmi 4G smartphone but they will continue to get 3G services till 4G services are launched in that city.
Airtel has promotional offer of double data on Redmi 4G smartphone in Bengaluru city only/ i.e. buyers of Redmi Note 4G, will get 2GB in place of 1GB for a price of Rs 250 but additional data will be charged at rate of 40p/MB.
Postpaid customers in Bengaluru can also avail a promotional offer of double data benefits on their 4G plans on buying the device.
The Redmi Note 4G Smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display and runs on Android’s latest 4.4 KitKat operating system. It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and has 2GB RAM plus 8GB internal storage. It is fitted with rear camera of 13-megapixel while front facing camera is 5-megapixel, ideal for selfie addict. It is powered by a big 3,100 mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 4G Smartphone support both the 4G LTE bands in India; FDD-LTE at 1800MHz and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz.
