Jio and Airtel are expanding their 5G network throughout India and so far Jio true 5G has reached more than 135 places while Airtel 5G Plus services are available in 45 cities. Both Jio and Airtel hope that 5G services would be available throughout the entire nation by March 2024. Both telcos offer Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and Amazon Prime OTT bundled with their plans without any additional costs.
Airtel customers can use their existing Airtel postpaid plans to access the Airtel 5G Plus Network, therefore 5G services are available on those plans in cities where 5G Plus is available. Customers can utilize 5G on their current data plans through Airtel until the rollout is finished without using an invite-based system. All 5G Android and Apple devices now support Airtel 5G Plus.
Jio 5G services are availed by only subscribers who have been invited through the Welcome Offer and are eligible to enjoy Jio 5G service. For those who don’t know, Jio’s Welcome Offer is a unique invitation extended to clients who reside in areas where its 5G network has been launched. Only those Ji customers who have recharged using a plan costing at least Rs 239 would be eligible for the Jio Welcome Offer. Jio offers a Rs 61 5G upgrade plan for customers who are on less expensive plans than those that cost Rs 239. Customers will be able to take advantage of the Jio Welcome Offer by recharging with the Rs 61 data-only voucher.
Airtel 5G Plans bundled with Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime OTT
Airtel, the second-largest telecom provider in India, offers two significant OTT (over-the-top) advantages with its postpaid plans: Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime. These two perks are included at no additional cost with each of the operator’s four postpaid plans. - Rs 1499 Postpaid Plan is the most costly postpaid option offered by Bharti Airtel.
