Acer to launch Jelly Bean budget Tablet Iconia B1 in India at Rs 7999

There is good news for those who are looking for a good budget tablet because, the largest computer giant Acer is all set to launch a budget tablet Iconia B1 tablet A71 in India at the end of January-2013 or first week of the February-2013 at the price tag of Rs 7999 however, the Acer would release the same tablet in the international market at a very competitive price of $99 in year 2013.

The exact features and specifications are not yet revealed but as per the rumor the tablet Iconia B1 is expected to have the same specifications as the tablets “Nook color” (price $125)of Barnes & Noble and the Amazon Kindle Fire ( prices $159).

Following main specifications are expected in Acer Iconia B1 tablet.

Operating System	The tablet is said to have latest operating system of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Processor (CPU)	Acer Iconia B1 will be powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and PowerVR SGX 531 GPU
Display	The device packs a 7 inch capacitive multi touchscreen with resolution of 1024 x 600 display.
Storage	Acer Iconia will have onboard 8GB memory with micro SD slot to expanded the memory. The Icona B1 have 512MB RAM.
Connectivity	Acer Iconia have connecitiviy on bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Battery	The tablet issaid to have a powerful battery which last for at least for 8 hours.
Price and Availability	The Acer Icona B1 will be launched at price tag of Rs 7,999.

With the launch of Acer’s tablet Iconia B1, Acer will give tough competition to its international rival as well as main leaders of Indian tablet market. This Iconia B1 will compete with Google Nexus7 tablet since price of Nexus may come down to at price of $199 (approx Rs 10700).

The Acer have also to face competition, to remain in the market, with its rival AsusTeK, who is also gearing up to launch an Android tablet with a similar competitive price tag in this year 2013. At present tablets from AsusTek are in very high price range of Rs 25000 and above.

The Acer Iconia B1 will compete with Micromax, who is said to be leader in tablet market. The Micromax Funbook series is available in the Indian market at the price range from Rs 5490 to Rs. 6499.
