The slogan of Aachhe Din is now the reality and fit at least for Indian mobile data users after the entry of Jio Mobiles in the telecom market. The new entrant shacked all Indian telecom service providers (TSPs) and all of them are now offering matched tariffs with Jio just to retain their own customers. The customers which were bound to buy data pack of 1GB for Rs almost Rs 300 for just almost a month form these TSPs is now getting 1GB per day with unlimited calling and SMS for just Rs 5 per day.
Let us look on the latest offerings of big players of Indian telecom market.
Reliance Jio is now offering 1GB data per day at 4G speed plus unlimited calling and SMS for 70 days to it Prime Customers (These customers need to pay Rs 99 for one year to become prime customer) for a price of Rs 399 and same featured prepaid plan with validity of 84 days is available for Rs 459. Jio initially offered this prepaid plan for just Rs 399 for 90 days only.
BSNL has special data plan for Rs 429 which offers 1GB data usage per day at 3G speed plus unlimited calling and SMS from home LSA for 90 days and if customer wants to avail these features during roaming also then the price if Rs 485.
Airtel, the largest private TSP, has to too come with lucrative data plans and its latest plan is priced for Rs 448 which offers 1GB data per day at the speed of 4G plus unlimited calling and SMS for 70 days.
Idea also has similar types of data plan for their customers; one of them is priced for Rs 498 which offers 1GB data per day at the speed of 4G plus unlimited calling and unlimited SMS (100 SMS/day) for 70 days.
Vodafone is also having same type of plan for Rs 458 which offers 1GB per day 4G/3G Data, 100 SMS/day and Unlimited Local & STD calls to any number even while Roaming within India (up to 250 mins/day & 1000 mins/week), having validity of 70 days. The same-featured prepaid plan with validity of 84 days is also available for Rs 509.
It is clear that, in the undeclared war among these TSPs, the winner is customer who is getting telecom services at all throwing prices, Aachhe din for customers.
