T-Mobile offers family plan at $90 for three, 1GB each, Sprint’s Family Costs $135

us_t-mobile2Today T-Mobile intensifies the WAR against other major carriers and announced to offer double data for its customers under Simple Choice Plans starting from March 23, 2014.

T-Mobile has doubled the data usage under its core data plan i.e. those who are on $50 plan for 500MB, now they will get 1GB automatically. For more data users, customers can get additional 2GB data for an extra fee of $10 only i.e. Customers will get 3GB of data for $60, 5GB of data for $70 only.

T-Mobile has not yet clarified what will happen to all those customers who are under existing plan $60 that presently offers 2.5GB data usage.

T-Mobile has also doubled the tethering for its unlimited data plan for an extra fee of $30 i.e. customer can get unlimited data plan with tethering at 5GB for $80.

T-Mobile has included one more feature of global texting from US to anywhere in the world in addition to existing feature of unlimited international texting from over 100 countries without levying any extra fee.

As compared to all other carrier, T-Mobile offers 1GB at $50 while Sprint offers 1GB of data usage under its plan$55. The Verizon has 1GB data plan including access fee of device for $80 while same plan is offered at $70 for Edge customers. AT&T have 1GB data plans for $85. All these 1GB plan includes unlimited talk and texting.

The new offers from T-Mobile will lower the monthly bill to a great extent for a family. Adding second line to a plan costs additional $30 only while third to fifth line costs $10 only. I just compared it with Sprint’s Framily plan in the following table, you can see the great savings. A saving of $5 for single line, $20 for two lines, $45 for three lines, $40 for four line and $65 for five lines.
