Nexus-7 tablet versus Acer B1-A71 Tab

There is news in the media that Acer is launching a budget tablet Iconia B1 A71 which will run on Android Jelly Bean Operating system and is priced at appox $99 in the international market while the same tablet is going to be launched in India at Rs 7999 only. nexus-7It is also being said that this new tablet from Acer will give a tough competition to the Asus Tek’s Nexus 7 Tablet  and in turn Asus Tek is also planning to lower the price of Nexus 7 as low as $99 so let us have a look on features and specifications of these two tablet so that we can arrive at some conclusion.

DisplayThe Nexus 7 uses a 7-inch display having a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.The Acer Iconia B1-A71 has a WSVGA capacitive multitouch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution display.
Operating SystemNexus 7 is running the most recent 4.2 version ofAndroid Jelly Bean operating system.Acer B1-A71 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 version OS.
Processor and RAMNexus 7 uses the Nvidia 3 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and is used along with 1GB of RAM.The new Acer Iconia B1 uses a Mediatek dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and is coupled with 512MB of RAM only.
Storage MemoryNexus 7 comes in either 16GB or 32GB on board storage only and it can't be expended as in Acer model.Acer B1-A71 comes with only 8GB internal memory storage and it can be further expanded up to32GB via the microSD card slot.
CameraNexus 7 features a 1.2 megapixel front facing shooter that is also capable of 720p video capture.The Acer only comes with a 0.3 megapixel webcam.

PricingRight now Nexus 7 starts at $199/£159 for the 16GB model and $249/£199 for the 32GB version but as per report prices are to come down to $150 and then $99 for 16GB Nexus 7 to compete with Acer Iconia B1-A71As per media reports Acer will launch this tab at price tag of Rs 7999 in India and at $99 in International Market.
