BSNL to intro Unlimited Broadband Plan for Rs.795, Compare with Combo unlimited 950

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd bsnl_bb2(BSNL) today announced to introduce one more standalone broadband plans BBG ULD 795 for its landline subscribers across the country starting from 10 March, 2014.

At present there is only one standalone plan BBG275 (previously it was BBG250) which is basically a limited usage plan and offers 1GB of data usage at 2Mbps speed.

The new standalone plan BBG ULD 795 is an unlimited data usage plan but with FUP at 8GB i.e. users can use 8GB data at speed of 2Mbps and thereafter speed will be throttled to 512Kbps till the end of your monthly billing cycle.

BSNL have one more unlimited broadband plan BB Home Combo 950 which is for home users only while the new unlimited plan BB ULD 795 would be for all users, whether home or commercial.

Let us have a look on all the features of both broadband plans as below

If we include FMC of landline connection (Rs 195 for urban area) to the new unlimited broadband plan, then total monthly bill would be Rs 990 (for urban subscribers) which is more than BB Home Combo 950 plan.

The download speed offered in new BB ULD 795 is 2Mbps only while in BB Home Combo 950 plan is 4Mbps

New plan offers free calls as per yours existing landline connections which is 50 MCU calls in a month while BB Home Combo 950 plan offer your 400 free MCU calls.

So it is advisable to home users to go for BB Home Combo 950 plan

  • bb795 plan not include free calls..
    my question is this fmc will be apllied for every month or only starting month
    if it is include in every month then bb795 plan is worse…
    please clear this bsnl i am waiting to get the 2mbps…i had previously 650 plan that was also slow..
