Last week, BSNL rationalised its all prepaid and postpaid plans to reduce charges for incoming calls from Rs 1/min to 75p/min during roaming and also introduced longer validity Roaming Tariff Plans (RTP) of Rs 405 and Roaming Tariff Plan free (RTP-FR) of Rs 705 for prepaid customers but now BSNL also tuned with other mobile operators and coming with two more national roaming Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) of lower denominations.
BSNL is introducing two new national roaming STVs of Rs 5 per day and monthly plan of Rs 69 for their all prepaid customers on Pan India basis.
With the national roaming STV of Rs 5, which have validity of one day only, the prepaid customer will receive all incoming calls absolutely free during roaming but all outgoing calls, whether it may be local or STD, will be charged @1.5p/sec .
Another STV of Rs 69, which have validity of 30 days, will enable the prepaid customer to receive all incoming calls absolutely free during roaming for all 30 days but all outgoing calls, local and STD, will be charged @1.5p/sec .
In Home circle, all call charges will be as per your base plan.
These two STVs of Rs 5 and Rs 69 will be available from 15 July-2013.
If we compare with RTP of Rs 405 and RTP-FR of Rs 705 both have validity of 180 days and comes with freebies worth of its MRPs like 168 min On-net and 168 Off-net free voice calls, 100min free video calls, 200MB data usage, 50 Local SMS and 50 National SMS free.
Note: Airtel and Vodafone also have STV of Rs 5 which enables you to receive free incoming during roaming for one day.
BSNL also introduced two more roaming free plans with immediate effect for their postpaid customers with monthly charge of Rs 145 (RTP) and Rs 149 (RTP-FR) with some freebies.
