Now the customer under $45 plan will get 2GB of free data in place of existing 1.5 GB. The customers opting higher data plan of $60 plan will get 5GB free data i.e. 1GB more data from existing 4 GB free data allowance. Customers who opts for $60 plan, they can also roam in Canada and Mexico without any roaming charges.
Both plans support rollover data, and customers who opt for auto pay, will get discount of $5 per month hence costing $40 and $55 respectively.
The increased data in both plan will come in effect starting January 8.
With this increased free data allowance, AT&T has given direct competition to other major carriers including some other MVNOs but still there are so many MVNOs where you can get more freebies like Smartel offers 10GB data for $45 and unlimited data if you pay $55. AT&T’s own MVNO, AirVoice Wireless also offer more data for less price like 5GB for just $50.
